Jensen Creek Claims

The Dominion Creek claims overlie a contact between the Klondike and Nasina assemblages which is known to host precious and base metals mineralization. The main structural feature present on the project is a thrust fault which has been mapped continuously over a strike length of four kilometers. This thrust fault parallels the bottom of Dominion Creek, which has been mined by placer methods since the initial Klondike Goldrush of 1896, and is responsible for producing a portion of the 20+ million ounces of placer gold produced by the prolific district. The coincidence of this rich placer paystreak laying on top of a thrust fault known to host mineralization makes the Dominion Creek claims a very attractive exploration target.

While the Dominion Creek claims have seen large amounts of placer mining, there has been little to no quartz exploration performed within the project historically. This allows Empire Metals to go in to the project with a fresh look and make new discoveries.

The initial exploration on the property will focus on accurately mapping the main thrust fault as well as its related secondary structures. A sampling program will then be executed to identify areas of mineralization along the structure for future advanced exploration.
