Empire Rock Minerals is concentrating its efforts on the Buck Lake Platinum Palladium Nickel Project. Buck Lake is situated in an exceptionally prolific area, located approximately 25 kms west of North American Palladium‘s Lac Des Iles Mine, and approximately 100 kms northwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. The success of the Lac Des Iles Mine, establishes this historic area, as a world class asset.

The Buck Lake Project is known for the occurrence of high grade platinum palladium and nickel mineralization and Empire Rock considers this property to be highly prospective. Buck Lake is known to host mafic/ultra-mafic intrusions with anomalous and ore-grade PGE values. Geological characteristics support a shallow, high grade PGE/Nickel model, situated along a well-defined and geological rich structure. The nature of the rock itself suggests a volatile, energetic intrusion generating high grade mineralization, with the source of the mineralization appearing to be near surface. Surface pit blasting at the main discovery area revealed pods of supplied mineralization representing up to 60% of the rock mass. Mineralization at Buck Lake is concentrated in clasts; the brecciation is less evolved, with lesser amounts in the matrix. Chip samples taken from fresh massive sulphides by the blasting returned up to 31.6 grams per ton palladium, 2.82 grams per ton platinum, 1.53% copper and 9.96% nickel.

The Company has newly acquired an additional 77 new claims, for a total land package of 96 claims in this critical area, located southwest (?) of the historic Lac Des Iles Mine. This new abundant land package totals 96 claims in this historic area, The Buck Lake Platinum Palladiums Nickel Property now essentially surrounds much of the area that hosts North American Palladiums Lac Des Iles Mine. The Buck Lake Property has excellent infrastructure with roads and power, has had a 43-101 produced in 2009, and also had airborne geomagnetic flown over the property. Over the past year, Ontario Hydro installed power lines throughout the area and the placement of those installations are now the roads that serve in essence of ——metres of trenching, on the Buck Lake Property. This has allowed Buck Lake to continue exploration, sampling and mapping programs without delay or cost.
